The Parole Board of Canada has granted full parole to the Bowden-area man who shot and killed an oil executive 15 years ago.

The Parole Board of Canada has granted full parole to the Bowden-area man who shot and killed an oil executive 15 years ago.

Eifion Wyn (Wayne) Roberts was convicted of second-degree murder in the killing of Patrick Kent, vice-president of KB Resources, who was shot on Roberts' property on Oct. 3, 1998.

The board made its decision on Sept. 18 and Roberts will be eligible for full parole on Oct. 3, 2013.
