OLDS — RCMP are asking for the public's help to locate a suspect who allegedly stole and used a debit card in Olds.
Police say the incident occurred on Feb. 9 at about 1:30 p.m. when a thief allegedly broke into a vehicle parked in the 5100 block of 51st Street in Olds and stole a Scotiabank debit card.
“This stolen debit card was then used to make multiple purchases at businesses in Olds totalling a value of approximately $215,” say police in a news release issued today, Feb. 11.
The suspect is described as an approximately 40-year-old man with short hair and a full, brown beard.
Police say he was wearing a white shirt featuring a white name tag over the right pocket and several pens in that pocket. He was also wearing black pants and black shoes.
In addition, the suspect has what RCMP describe as an “identifiable tattoo” on his right hand.
He was last seen driving a black Dodge Ram dating back to between 2002 and 2008.
