A public hearing is scheduled to take place on Sept. 23 on a proposed seven-duplex and three-unit townhouse development on 60 Street between Destiny Place and Destiny Way.
Olds town council gave first reading to the proposal at its meeting on Aug. 26.
The application calls for dividing 1.02 hectares into 14 lots for seven side-by-side duplexes and three further lots for a three-unit townhouse. Because the site is currently zoned R-3 Medium Density Residential, the portion proposed for duplexes needs to be rezoned as R-2 General Residential.
The public hearing will take place at 7 p.m. in council chambers.
