The seniors' circuit and social will be back at the Community Learning Campus beginning on September 25 and will run until October 18.
It will be incorporating strength, balance and flexibility and will run Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Following each of the workouts, there will be time set aside for social activities as well.
A second set of classes for seniors with limited mobility will also be taking place from 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. again on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
“That's a gentle approach to fitness. It's incorporating … strength training to improve balance, and just quality of life. It's for people that are looking to still stay active, but are limited in what mobility they have so it's really helping them maintain the quality of life … keep active, be social and have fun while they're doing it,” said Brittany Ehmann, fitness programmer at the CLC fitness centre.
There will be a maximum of 25 people per class. Pre-registration is required.
