Police arrested three people following an alleged robbery and knife attack on March 26.Staff Sgt. Joe Sangster, commander of the Olds RCMP detachment, said police were called to Tedds Food Mart at the intersection of Highway 27 and 50 Avenue at about 5:15 a.m. where a 36-year-old Calgary man reported he had been robbed at knifepoint and the suspects had taken $400.The victim was not injured.A trio of suspects was seen leaving the store's parking lot in a 2005 Chrysler Sebring reported stolen out of Edmonton, Sangster said, and police located the vehicle and arrested two women and a man a short time later on Highway 27 just east of Highway 2.Lee Todd Laviolette, 46, of Fort McMurray is charged with robbery with an offensive weapon, possession of a stolen vehicle, possession of a dangerous weapon and carrying a concealed weapon, as Sangster said the knife allegedly involved in the robbery was found in Laviolette's sock under his pant leg.Brandi Leigh Crane, 21, of Saddle Lake is charged with robbery with an offensive weapon, possession of a stolen vehicle, impaired driving, driving without a licence and assault with a weapon, as Sangster said it was this suspect who allegedly tried to stab the victim with the knife.Laviolette and Crane were being held in police custody following a court appearance in Calgary on March 28, Sangster said.Sherida Lynn Cayenne, 33, of Calgary is charged with robbery with an offensive weapon and possession of a stolen vehicle.Sangster said Cayenne was released on her own recognizance with a promise to appear in Didsbury court on April 7.None of these charges have been proven in [email protected]
