The Olds Albertan and Simply for Life are looking for six eager people to take part in the Olds Lifestyle Challenge this spring and summer.During the challenge, three teams of two will compete to lose the greatest percentage of weight with the help of local fitness and nutrition experts.Each team's custom-designed fitness, nutrition and wellness program will be designed by Simply for Life, a health-focused company that helps people with nutrition and lifestyle choices.The challenge is free to enter and will begin June 1 and will run for 12 weeks.The Albertan will run introductory profiles on each team at the beginning of the challenge and will then publish biweekly reports on how each team is doing.The winners of the challenge will be announced in the Albertan on Aug. 26.Teams will be required to commit to weigh-ins at the beginning of the contest, on a weekly basis and at the end of the challenge.They must also maintain a daily food journal, follow food preparation and menu plans, attend two weekly group workouts with Drew Taddia and attend three weekly workouts on their own with the complimentary three-month memberships from the CLC Fitness Centre.Weekly weight loss updates will also be posted at www.simplyforlife.com and on Facebook.Prizes for the winning team include a three-month membership from Simply For Life as well as a Wellness Gift Basket from the Olds community.To enter, pick up a registration form at the Olds Albertan at 5013 51 St. or visit Speers Health Clinic.For more information contact Paul Everest at the Albertan at 403-556-7510 or Danielle Cobbett at 403-556-5433.
