A couple whose dog was killed after four dogs escaped their yard attended an Aug. 26 Olds council meeting to express their pain and frustration over the incident.

Westview Co-op, which is based in Olds, is not following Calgary Co-op's lead — to source its groceries from outside the Co-op organization. That's the word from Westview Co-op general manager Dennis Laing. Calgary Co-op announced on Tuesday, Aug.

Klaus Odersky, born in Beuthen, Germany in 1928, has lived a full life; one that ended up being heavily rooted right here in Olds. After fighting in the Second World War, Odersky emmigrated to Canada in 1952 in search of a life of farming.
