There are several new or relocated teachers in Olds schools this year and enrolment is up — at least initially — in most cases, although those numbers could change by the end of the month.

The Rotary Club of Olds presented the Town of Olds with a cheque for $285,000 on Monday, to go toward the Rotary Athletic Park of Olds.

The annual Terry Fox Run in Olds, which raises money for cancer research, takes place this Sunday, Sept. 15. There are a couple of changes this year, organizer Noel D'arcy says. For one thing, the start and finish has changed.

Olds hairstylist Lee Cenaiko of Zebedeez Hair Design is once again competing in the OMC HairWorld Competitions in Paris, France. This year's edition will be held Sept 15 and 16.

The Olds College Alumni Centre was filled Saturday, Sept. 7 for the fourth annual Conversation Has To Happen...again conference for those affected by suicide and depression.
