The Sundre Hospital and Care Centre’s annual silent auction fundraiser got started Nov. 15 and continues until Dec. 15. Staff from each department prepare gift baskets and some local businesses also donate a few additional items for the auction, which every year raises funds for a different local organization. This year’s proceeds will go to Play 4 Kidz Sundre, said Connie Bjorkman, administrative assistant to the Sundre hospital who also helps organize the auction and is pictured here bidding on one of several baskets on display at the facility. Almost $3,500 was raised last year, she said.
