Largely clear, blue skies welcomed return of Sundre Mother's Day Fly-In Breakfast

Sundre Airport was busy on Sunday May 8 when a variety of aircraft touched down

SUNDRE — Pilots and the public probably could not have asked for much better conditions on Mother's Day for the return of the fly-in breakfast at the local airport.

Despite a cool breeze and a few clouds that morning, the skies were largely clear and blue with the sun shining bright at the Sundre Airport, where a variety of airplanes, helicopters, as well as high performance and vintage vehicles were on display.

Rodeo royalty, including 2021-22 Miss Rodeo Sundre Kaylee Shantz, joined volunteers in serving up some breakfast while people enjoyed the opportunity to socialize while checking out all of the aircraft.

The annual event had not been held since the start of the pandemic.
