Hello everyone! It has been a while since we've been in touch, so here's a bit of news to keep you informed.
February had us once again serving lunch for Family Day weekend and we appreciate everyone who supported us. It was nice to see so many smiling faces.
Some of our ladies attended our district meeting in Caroline on Sunday, April 3. Our new officers have been appointed to their offices for the new year, and our seniors' tea is fast approaching. This year, the event will be held on Wednesday, May 18. Watch for posters and it will be advertised on the radio as well. We hope to see many of our regular -- as well as new -- faces for lunch and entertainment. This is our favourite event.
We are excited to be hosting the Alberta Royal Purple Provincial Conference here in Sundre. The conference will be held during the second weekend in June. We are expecting about 100 members from all over the province.
The Royal Purple is sponsoring a Rodeo Queen this year, Miss Martina Holtkamp. She is a very active girl in rodeo events, and we wish her all the best.
The Nevada tickets are well received at the Elks bingos, which the Royal Purple sells. All monies go back to help in the community.
As usual, we take a summer break — no meetings — but we are here for the community.
