SUNDRE – A couple of members from Sundre Volunteer Search and Rescue Society were recently honoured for their long-standing commitment to the organization.

Helen Jackson and Roger Tetreault were presented with awards recognizing 25 years of service on Wednesday, Sept. 18 at the Sundre Volunteer Search and Rescue Society’s annual general meeting held at the Sundre Airport.

However, both have actually served substantially longer – Tetreault for 29 years and Jackson for 28 years. The plaques they were presented were from the Search and Rescue Volunteer Association of Canada.

The nine-member board’s executive remains unchanged with Paul Smith serving as president, Bruce Robb as vice-president, Roger Tetreault as treasurer, and Patty McCallum as secretary.
