The trial of a woman charged after a Calgary woman was attacked and severely injured by two pitbulls in a Sundre mobile home in August 2012 is underway. Rita Phillip, 59, faces a charge of aggravated assault and assault causing bodily harm.

A local man will pay a fine after being caught alongside a convicted thief inside a stolen truck. Kevin Leischner, 42, pleaded guilty in Didsbury court on May 7 to obstructing a police officer. He was handed a $500 fine and a $75 victim surcharge.
