A young writer is getting awarded for her work for the second year in a row. Laura Stacey, a Grade 9 student at Bowden Grandview School recently placed as a runner-up for the 2012 Martyn Godfrey Young Writer's Award.

An Olds High School (OHS) Grade 11 student placed second in musical theatre at the Alberta Music Festival at the end of May.

The Olds High School (OHS) music department will end its concert season with a traditional band concert this Wednesday at 7 p.m., at the TransCanada Theatre. Twenty Grade 12 students will also end their OHS music career during the concert.
