A 57-year-old woman charged after police seized more than 2,100 marijuana plants worth an estimated $2.6 million from a Sundre property last July is going to trial.

A 57-year-old woman charged after police seized more than 2,100 marijuana plants worth an estimated $2.6 million from a Sundre property last July is going to trial.The accused faces charges of production of cannabis marijuana and possession for the purposes of trafficking. Her preliminary hearing was held in Didsbury provincial court on Thursday, when she was ordered to stand trial.A publication ban prohibits reporting on any evidence or testimony presented at the hearing.On July 21, police executed a search warrant at a rural property just north of Sundre where they found the plants in three large greenhouses each measuring 20 feet by 100 feet.Lyla Dean of Sundre will be back in court July 13 when a Court of Queen's Bench trial date will be set.
