Two provincial associations, one representing rural municipalities and the other urban municipalities, have outlined issues and concerns they would like candidates in the provincial election campaign to consider and address.

There are a number of issues and concerns Mountain View County (MVC) would like to see the parties in the ongoing provincial election address during the campaign, says Deputy Reeve Angela Aalbers.

INNISFAIL - The 2019 provincial election race is on. On Tuesday morning (March 19) in Calgary, Premier Rachel Notley announced Albertans will go to the polls on April 16 for the province's 30th general election.

Locations for an advance polls and Election Day polling stations in Olds for the April 16 provincial election have now been determined. Advance polls will be held at the Olds Legion Hall from Tuesday, April 9 through Saturday, April 13.

With Albertans going to the polls on April 16, there are a total of eight declared candidates in region as of Tuesday.

An Olds real estate assistant, Clare Dickie, expects things to be different in her homeland of New Zealand when she travels there in October.
