INNISFAIL – The Innisfail Dolphins are hosting the 2019 Alberta Summer Swim (Region D) Regionals. The event takes place at the Innisfail Aquatic Centre Aug. 9 to 11. “Regionals is what swimmers build (and work) towards every year.

Two local throwing athletes turned in great performances during the Sherwood Park Track Classic track and field meet. Haylin Eling placed third in javelin on July 20 with a season best throw of 30.01metres (m).

She's only 15 years old, yet Olds resident Kallie Clouston has already made a decision on where she'll take her post-secondary education. She has committed to playing for the University of Alberta's (U of A) Pandas hockey team.

BOWDEN - There was lots of action during this year’s Bowden Bonanza Daze. The four-day event kicked off with a barrel racing jackpot on July 25, followed by a team roping jackpot and a kickoff party on July 26.

INNISFAIL – Joe Kelly is enjoying much success in his young golf career. The 15-year-old golfer from Innisfail has been playing the sport since he was a young boy and is now competing in some of Canada’s top junior golf tournaments.

DIDSBURY - The Didsbury Jets U-13 boys' baseball team is preparing for Tier 2 provincials, which is coming up this August long weekend in St. Paul.
