It's a long way out yet, but organizers have announced they've changed the dates for the 2020 Humpty’s Champions Cup, which will be hosted in Olds at the Sportsplex for the first time ever.

Olds throwing athlete and track coach Rachel Andres is now No. 2 in Canada in the women's open discus throw after setting a new provincial record during the Foote Open Field Provincials, held June 28-30 in Edmonton.

The HUB Insurance Senior Open golf championship in Olds has been determined for another year. Keith Newton of Olds and Bob Luft of Carstairs were the co-winners on the men's side. They both shot even par 72 (the event was called due to weather).

There's still a chance local athlete and Velites Track Club coach Rachel Andres could make the Canadian Pan Am Games team. The 2019 Pan Am Games take place July 26 - Aug. 11 in Lima, Peru.
