"We'd always like more, but we're good with the same," said Steve Brigden, president of the Sundre Curling Club. The bonspiel was, as always, really well put together, and "everybody had a lot of fun ó it was a good weekend," he said, adding, "It's nice to see the club being used."

INNISFAIL – Basketball season is underway at Innisfail High School. The senior boys' basketball team has been practising and preparing for the season, which begins this week, since early November.

INNISFAIL – Two Innisfail skaters are reaching new heights early in the season. Devan Korsiger, 14, and Claira Sinclair, 12, recently returned with silver medals from the Edmonton STARSkate Invitational, Nov. 24 to 26, in St. Albert.

It was another tough weekend for Olds College men's and women's volleyball teams Dec. 1 and 2. Both teams were dominated by Briercrest College. On Friday, Dec. 1, the women were beaten three matches to one (25-9, 22-25, 25-13 and 25-12).
