Two curlers who grew up in Olds the last few years are going to the Junior Men's Provincials in Edmonton Jan. 4-8.

Olds Grizzlys forward Ryley Smith is the final Canalta Hotels AJHL Player of the Week for 2016. Smith scored three goals and three assists in three games in mid- to late-December to extend his point streak to six games.

INNISFAIL - The Innisfail Atom Female Flyers were victorious in their annual home tournament after a well-fought final. Innisfail downed the Okotoks Atom Gold 2-0 in their home tournament Dec. 17 and 18 at the Innisfail Twin Arena.

INNISFAIL - The Atom A DQ Flyers have claimed the title of champions for their annual home tournament. The Flyers welcomed six teams for the annual tournament on Dec. 10 and 11 at the Innisfail Twin Arena.
