The Olds Midget Mustangs claimed the Tier 1 midget North Central Minor Hockey Association championship on Saturday by beating the Stettler Midget Legion 7-5 in Stettler.

Both the Olds High School Spartans boys' and girls' senior basketball teams advanced to the Mountain View County Basketball League finals with victories on Wednesday at the Ralph Klein Centre.

The Penhold Amazons are heading to the second round of playoffs after defeating the Calgary Warriors 6-2 on March 3. The win was the Amazons' second against the Warriors in a best-of-three series. The Amazons will have to get past the Lethbridge Jr.
