OLDS — The Royal Canadian Air Cadets Squadron 185 is holding its annual fundraising bottle drive again.
This year’s edition begins on March 12, and for the third year in a row, it won’t include door-to-door donations. Instead, for a month, donations can be made to the Olds Bottle Depot at 4314 50th Avenue in Olds, on behalf of the cadets.
“It is our sincere hope that next March, our cadets can return to the community and visit each resident for this important fundraising event,” Karen Taylor, the cadets’ fundraiser coordinator, wrote in an email.
“Traditionally, the bottle drive has been a top fundraiser for our organization and the last few years of restrictions has been a challenge for everyone -- including the cadets -- but together we are persevering and the future remains hopeful,” she added.
