A 53-year-old man from the Olds area was killed in a head-on collision on July 2 east of the highways 2 and 27 interchange.
A 53-year-old man from the Olds area was killed in a head-on collision on July 2 east of the highways 2 and 27 interchange.
Olds RCMP said an eastbound pickup truck attempting to make a northbound turn from Highway 27 onto Rge. Rd. 10A collided with a motorcycle heading westbound on Highway 27 at about 6:45 p.m.
The driver of the motorcycle, who police said was from the rural Olds area, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The woman driving the pickup truck was taken to the Olds Hospital and Care Centre and treated for minor injuries.
Police said alcohol and speed are not factors and a collision analyst is investigating.
The name of the deceased has not been released.
