Police are warning the public about a man and woman considered armed and dangerous who investigators believe are linked to an attempted murder incident that happened on the evening of June 3 near Sylvan Lake and allegedly stole a vehicle at gunpoint on the morning of June 7 east of Olds.
Andrew Waunch, 30, also known as Navee, and Ashley Chambers, 23, are suspects in an attempted murder investigation.
The pair, however, were not yet charged as of the evening of June 7.
At roughly 11:30 a.m. on June 7, police were scouring rural roads east of Olds near the community of Wimborne following an alleged carjacking at gunpoint.
Police said the driver of the vehicle was not injured and Chambers and Waunch are believed to be in a blue 1992 GMC Sierra pickup truck, two-door standard cab, with Alberta licence plate of WVX 289.
Before police called off the search, the pair were believed to be heading east towards Wimborne, a community located nearly nine kilometers north of Torrington.
Police are asking for assistance in finding the pair but advise the public not to approach them if they or the vehicle is located.
Instead, police are asking the public to report any sighting by calling 911.
Police were not able to provide additional descriptions about the suspects or details about the vehicle theft.
