A convoy delivering 100 classic cars and trucks meant for the June 23 J.C. (Jack) Anderson Charity Auto Auction arrived in Olds on June 14 and 15. Dozens of volunteers made sure the vehicles arrived safely from Airdrie and carefully parked them in four Quonset tents located at the Olds Agricultural Society Grounds where they will be kept until the auction. All proceeds from the auction, which begins at 10 a.m. in the Cow Palace, go towards Olds College’s Centennial Entrepreneurship Legacy Fund that allows the school to enhance its entrepreneurial and technology-based curriculua. School officials are hoping to raise as much as $2 million. Volunteers helped transport and park all of the vehicles destined for the auction including this 1930 Ford Model A Touring car.
