Police no longer consider a Mountain View County resident a suspect in the death of a stallion at Olds College last September following a polygraph test on May 17.
Acting Cpl. S.D. Bereza, a spokesman for the Olds RCMP, said police are now back to "Square 1" with no further leads but investigators would like to speak with a person who filed an anonymous written tip with police about the now-cleared suspect.
He added police would provide the tipster with anonymity if he or she comes forward.
A 15-year-old stallion on loan to the college was found dead from a kick to its head on the morning of Sept. 9 and another stallion was found with injuries to its legs after a person or persons opened a number of horse pens at the school, releasing the animals into an enclosed space.
