Country singer Paul Brandt is lending his hands – as well as his hockey skills -- to a fundraiser for the Olds branch of the Central Alberta Pregnancy Care Centre (CAPCC).

An Olds College equine (horse) sciences/training program is expected to move back to the college this week after having been relocated to the Olds Regional Exhibition facilities.

Rules are simple for Olds' first Little Free Library, located in the Highlands subdivision: take a book; leave a book. The library is actually a two-shelf unit fashioned like a birdhouse and is intended to be the site of a public book exchange.

A 24-year-old female driver has been charged with careless driving after a collision on Highway 2A and Twp. Rd. 324 claimed the life of a 52-year-old male motorcyclist on Sept. 19. No further charges are expected.
