An “electrical component” in the garage is likely to blame for a fire that devastated a Park Lane home on the afternoon of July 1, the chief of the Olds Fire Department said.

Chinook's Edge School Division is expecting more students to ride the bus within town boundaries during the upcoming school year.

Olds College was expecting 150 flooded out seniors from Calgary on the afternoon of June 28 to stay for several weeks at the school’s residences, said Doug Wagstaff, manager of campus life at the college.
