Sundre High School student Taylor Pierunek makes her way along Snake Hill on Sept. 28 during the intermediate girls heat of the recent county-wide cross-country meet. Pierunek went on to win first place. The zone cross-country event was held the following week. Four high school students — Holly Fisher, Pierunek, Deshann Valentine and Saige Jackson — qualified to compete in provincials, which were held this Saturday in Cochrane.

The Sundre Farmers' Market recently wrapped up a successful season that saw an increase in the number of merchants. “It was a very positive year,” said Karen Campbell, the market's manager. “We had more vendors than we've had in several years.
