INNISFAIL – The community rallied on April 27 to support one of its own. More than $10,000 was raised during the Friends of Dez Lorencz Memorial Fundraiser at the Royal Canadian Legion last Friday.

INNISFAIL - Dozens of local and area residents packed the Innisfail Library/Learning Centre for some strawberry shortcake and tea.

PENHOLD – It’s "A Night at the Ranch" for local charity. The third annual event will take place at the Daines Ranch Rodeo Grounds on May 11 and 12. “Over the first two years, we’ve raised just over $20,000,” said Kyle Daines, organizer.

INNISFAIL - Greetings from Rangeland 4-H Beef Club. Some of our most recent events included sledding at the Dickson Dam on Feb. 17 and the Junior Winter Camp from March 2 to 4 at Battle Lake.

PENHOLD – Most residents will not see much change to their taxes this year.

INNISFAIL – An alert member of the community observing car prowling activity is being praised by police for being proactive in the ongoing fight against property crime.

INNISFAIL - Council has bent to an urgent request by the Innisfail & District Historical Society for funding to fix the deteriorating roof of the 129-year-old historical Sinclair House.

INNISFAIL – Mounties captured two alleged burglars after the alleged culprits got stuck in the snow during a getaway attempt. They are also saying the arrests were the result of ongoing cooperation and partnership with the public.

INNISFAIL – On May 2 the Innisfail - Sylvan Lake United Conservative Party (UCP) riding will be ready for a byelection.

PENHOLD – Fire Chief Jim Pendergast was recently saluted by the town in a special ceremony. Penhold council and staff recognized Pendergast's 32 years of service in Alberta. They gave him a standing ovation at a council meeting on March 26.
