The half-century-old Autumn Glen Lodge will be getting demolished to make way for a new two-storey building as part of an overall three-phase $2.2-million renovation project with an expected end date of 2017.

The Town of Penhold is just 24 residents shy of hitting the 2,500 population mark. The municipal census report was before council during the July 9 meeting.

Telus has secured a site in Penhold for a new communications tower. “We've got an agreement in place,” said Chris Gerritsen, manager of community engagement for Telus.
