Penhold property tax rates to increase
The mill rate for Penhold municipal taxes was set during the May 14 town council meeting and taxes are heading up for the first time in two years. Town manager Rick Binnendyk said the overall average change is 4.75 per cent.

Barbecue and small carnival to help raise funds for Penhold club
The Penhold Youth Club is trying to raise enough money for the group to go to West Edmonton Mall at the end of June by hosting a family barbecue and carnival on May 25. “Our goal is $1,000,” said Amanda Hoffer, Penhold's youth director.
