The former owner of the land around the Penhold Regional Multiplex was the successful bidder to rent the land back. Cornelis (Casey) den Boer was the successful bidder after the Town of Penhold put approximately 60 to 65 acres up for tender.

The proposed trail route for Penhold's section of the Trans Canada trail was approved and amended by town council during its meeting on March 26. The proposed trail route comes into town on Rge. Rd.

Board members are being sought for Innisail and District Victim Services. “Victim services is looking for board members,” said Cpl. A.J. Mand, who added they're seeking “as many members as we can.” The board meets once a month.

Rollover A single vehicle rollover occurred just east of Aberdeen Hall on April 4. A woman was the only passenger in the vehicle when it went off the road on Highway 590 and rolled in the ditch on the north side. Cpl. A.J.

Bowden town council will be considering the town's 2012 budget at its next meeting on April 9, when administration will present the budget for adoption.
