INNISFAIL – It was a spring training many thought would not happen. But thanks to community support earlier this year, the Innisfail Minor Football Association (IMFA) recently wrapped up its 2018 spring training.

The annual Rotary fundraising golf tournament at the Olds Golf Club attracted about 20 more golfers than last year, according to Rotary Club of Olds president Peter Premachuk. About 140 golfers took part, up from about 120 last year, he said.

The Olds Grizzlys have acquired 18-year-old defenceman Ethan Green from the Drayton Valley Thunder in exchange for forward Jeremy Klessens, 19. Green, from Spruce Grove, is 5-9 and weighs about 185 pounds.
