INNISFAIL – The Innisfail Dolphins can put this season in the history books as one of their finest. “It’s been a great season. Right now we’re right up there with the top teams in the province,” said Josh Gette, head coach for the Dolphins.

CARSTAIRS - Seven teams took part in the first Maxine Noren Slo-Pitch Tournament in Carstairs on Aug. 10-12. The tournament raised just over $5,000 for a scholarship in Noren's name.

DIDSBURY - Despite smoky conditions caused by wildfires in B.C., the Didsbury rodeo and parade were both successful. The Didsbury Fair and Rodeo was held on Friday and Saturday at the Didsbury Ag Grounds and was put on by the Didsbury Ag Society.

The Peewee AA Tier 1 Olds Spitfires #1 are off to the Western Canada Baseball Championships this weekend after winning provincial championships on home turf recently. It will be the second time in as many years that the team qualified for Westerns.
