The fourth annual Gowns4Grads&Tuxes2 gala is just weeks away and organizers are asking for help from volunteers.

About 65 people were on hand Sept. 20 for the official grand reopening of the Olds Association for Community Living (OACL) building, located at 5025 51 St. in Olds.

Olds hairstylist Lee Cenaiko of Zebedeez Hair Design placed 12th and 13th in two categories during the 2019 OMC HairWorld Competitions in Paris, France. The event took place Sept. 15-16.

BOWDEN — People braved the cold and rain and were spread three and four deep across the Reddi Mart parking lot in Bowden on Friday, Sept. 20 as ATB Financial staff honoured store owners Larry and Shirley Adams for all they've done for the community.

The Olds & District Chamber of Commerce has moved from its old location in the Everything Olds building at 51st Street and 51st Avenue to the former Boys & Girls Club of Olds & Area location at 5021 51st St.

Town of Olds officials are hoping they won't be hit with a whopping Goods and Services Tax (GST) bill like the $600,000 tab the Town of Peace River is fighting. The issue came up during Olds council's Sept. 23 meeting.

Grade 9 students received lots of awards during the annual École Olds High School academic awards, held Sept. 13 at the school. The Kiwanis Award for Overall Excellence in Grade 9 went to Alison Mertens.
