Olds RCMP say charges are pending against a car driver after a two-vehicle collision early Aug. 12 on Highway 27 (46th Street) at 57th Avenue. Police say the incident occurred at about 7:20 a.m.

A 28-year-old man faces 25 charges after an approximately one-hour pursuit by police through Olds, along Highway 2, ending in a wheat field near Crossfield. Bernard Michael Sontheim of Innisfail, 28, is due in Didsbury provincial court on Aug.

Town officials and local business owners have been looking for an efficient way to remove graffiti ever since a youth went on a graffiti spree back in April. They think they may have found one option.

Town officials are investigating after four dogs got out of an Olds resident's yard and killed a dog in a fenced yard several blocks away, in Imperial Estates. Olds RCMP received the call at about 7 p.m. Aug. 3.

BOWDEN - Recreational hockey teams in Bowden may have to pay up front for ice time. Coun. Kerry Kelm made that suggestion during the town's July 22 council meeting, addressing chief administrative officer Greg Skotheim.
