Olds RCMP is investigating multiple thefts from vehicles that occurred in the past weeks. On April 9, a resident reported that a GPS had been stolen from a red Pontiac Sunfire, which was parked in the 5600 block on 55 Avenue.

Ten train cars derailed about five kilometers south of Innisfail at 1:27 a.m. April 21 confirmed Kevin Hrysak, media spokesman for Canadian Pacific.

There are 13 senate nominees running in the upcoming April 23 election, one of whom stopped in Olds on his campaign trail on April 12.
