About 25 Grade 9 students from Olds High School participated in a videoconference on March 1 focusing on how the education system can respond to the needs of students and prepare them for the future of work.

The Innisfail to Olds portion of the wastewater line to Red Deer is expected to begin construction sometime in late summer according to the South Red Deer Regional Wastewater Commission.

Town council approved the purchase of a new aerial lift for use by the parks and facilities and operations departments last week. The town spent $59,386.27 on the machine. It had budgeted $70,000 for the machine in the 2011 budget.
