Thousands of acres of land in the McDougal Flats area to the southwest of Sundre could be under a development moratorium, pending a vote by Mountain View County councillors.

The Sundre Museum was broken into in recent weeks with exhibits damaged and a wolf hide stolen. “They had gotten in through the page wire fence that's around the enclosure,” said Darlene Smee, manager of the museum.

A book club is up and running at the Sundre library to encourage students not to lose touch with reading over the summer.
