Sundre seniors participated in a course last week to brush up on their driving skills. The AMA mature drivers course was provided at a discounted rate through Greenwood Neighbourhood Place (GNP), as part of the Sundre seniors' connection project.

Sundre RCMP officers are investigating five incidents of slashed tires that were reported within a two-hour time span on the morning of May 20. People were calling the detachment saying at least one tire on their vehicle had been slashed overnight.

A local man will pay a fine after being caught alongside a convicted thief inside a stolen truck. Kevin Leischner, 42, pleaded guilty in Didsbury court on May 7 to obstructing a police officer. He was handed a $500 fine and a $75 victim surcharge.

Members of the Sundre Fire Department performed prescribed burns in town over the weekend, with the help of Alberta Environment and Sustainable Resource Development (ESRD) officials.

Town of Sundre officials have waived approximately $251,826.48 in fees to Mountain View Seniors' Housing (MVSH) for its new seniors' facility in town. These fees include $220,327.
