CARSTAIRS -- Mandalay Estates area structure plan passed third and final reading at the recent Carstairs regular council meeting.

Mountain View County council has approved a new intermunicipal development plan with the neighbouring MD of Bighorn. The move came by way of motion at the recent regularly scheduled council meeting.

CARSTAIRS-OLDS -- The Pitstra family has donated 316 acres of agricultural land near Carstairs to Olds College. Valued at $1.

CARSTAIRS -- The Town of Carstairs handed out certificates of appreciation to local athletes who represented the area in provincial competitions. The certificates were handed out before the regular council meeting on June 10 by members of council.

DIDSBURY -- The minimum wage for students in Alberta will soon be changing. Beginning on June 26, the minimum wage for students under 18 will be $13 an hour, down from $15 an hour.
