A Sundre man was among several suspects recently nabbed by an RCMP unit in connection with numerous unconnected vehicle thefts. The Grande Prairie Crime Reduction Unit recovered several stolen vehicles in unrelated incidents on Jan.

From Jan. 1 - 15, the local RCMP received 78 calls for service. The following is a recap of a few of those calls: On Jan. 7, police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that failed to stop at the red light on Main Avenue.

No one was injured when the driver of this vehicle attempted to make a northbound turn onto Centre Street from First Avenue NW last Wednesday, Jan. 3. After coming to a stop at the intersection, the motorist proceed to turn left but unfortunately did not see a vehicle driving southbound on Centre Street, resulting in a minor motor vehicle collision. All of the parties involved amicably handled the situation, which did not require emergency services to be dispatched.
