Municipalities covered by the Parkland Regional Library board will be receiving a requisition of $7.07 per capita for the 2012 budget year, following some adjustments from PRL administration.

The Town of Bowden is looking at several different options with regard to problems at the recycling centre near town hall. Councillors discussed the issue at their regular meeting last week, but decided to defer action on the item.

Town of Olds residents can expect to pay nine per cent more for their natural gas, starting on Jan. 1, 2012. Town council voted to increase the town's franchise fee rate from 27.5 per cent to 30 per cent at its regular meeting last week.

Olds RCMP is seeing an increasing number of motor vehicle violations at town crosswalks. “We are receiving many complaints of motor vehicles not stopping at crosswalks,” said Olds RCMP Cpl.
