INNISFAIL – A local football player is taking his game up a notch. Thirteen-year-old Dylan Pimlott will be showcasing his talent as a linebacker during the inaugural Wild Rose Bowl weekend at the University of Lethbridge from June 21 to 23.

DIDSBURY -- Didsbury's own Herman Dorin was inducted into the Alberta Sports Hall of Fame at a special ceremony in Red Deer on May 31 as a pioneer in wrestling. Dorin, who lives in Didsbury with his wife Shirley, began wrestling in the late 1940s.

The Olds College Broncos women’s hockey team has added some versatility to the lineup, recruiting Ontario Hockey Academy product Brianna Marsh for the 2019-20 season. Originally from Alder Point, N.S.

The Olds College Broncos men’s basketball team has made its first addition for the 2019-20 season, signing guard Ben Nelson out of Holy Trinity Academy in Okotoks.

Kira Quashie, a member of the Olds Rapids swim team, obtained some great results during the 2019 Swim Alberta Summer Festival in Lethbridge.

École Olds High School track teams have had a very successful season this spring, according to track coach Wanda Vandervelden. For example, 10 Spartans qualified for Provincials, which will be in Calgary June 7-8.

Olds Velites track coach Rachel Andres set a new meet record and is now ranked third in Canada after her performance in the New Balance Series meet #1, held May 26 in Calgary.
