The projected total cost of the improvements to 50th Avenue between 50th and 52nd streets has risen from about $1.4 millon to about $1.5 millon, according to two Olds town officials.

Olds has an arrangement with Shunda Consulting and Construction Management Ltd. that allows the company to keep building materials on a portion of town-owned land while construction is underway on Olds College's Centennial Village residence.

Drivers should be able to resume parking along 50th Avenue from 50th to 51st streets by this week, now that new sewer and water services have been installed there, Olds town officials say.
